I am bubbling over with excitements.   First, my boyfriend got me my long awaited Wacom tablet.   He told me that may present was in the mail ages ago (specifically, on the 11th), but it got misrouted, and I didn't get it until today.   It has a tablet and a cordless mouse, and it is one of the nifties toys I have gotten in ages (since my CD burner, I would say).

Second, I have begun planning a Northern California diarist gathering with a totally adorable woman named Jolene.   She and I are totally goofy -- e-mailing back and forth all day long brimming over with ideas and exitement.   We have made a beautiful connection, and I really look forward to meeting her and the others who will get together with us in early December.

Third (and you will note that I am alternating nerdy technology stuff with stories about people), my camera supposedly will arrive tomorrow morning.   Seeing is believeing...   I know I'm going to go crazy with it once I have it.   I can hardly contain myself!

Fourth, I have a tea date with a peach named Jennifer when I return to New York.   I also solicited a date with Nancy tonight, for when I am in Los Angeles.   I told her we could go out for tea, shopping, museuming, lunch and a movie...   The possiblities are endless!   I have yet to hear back from her...

Fifth (I knew I had forgotten something), Jonh sent me an e-mail asking how I was.   Appearently, he didn't think my evening of drunk and disorderly behavior was at all inappropriate.   When i mentioned that I thought he might have been upset, he said I made it sound like he was my parent.   I am so glad to know that my embarassment was all in my head.

An hour ago my camera arrived.   My enthusiasm involved several minutes of screaming alone here in the apartment, and lots of saying, "Hi, baby!" to my new toy.   My god, I am spoiled!

plane I am sure I will write more on the plane, while I wing my way to LA...   Either that, or I will spend the whole time reading the owner's manual for my new camera.   Now I have to scurry along and pack, for as usual, I have left my chores to the last minute...   I am very excited to see my family and my man and slip back into the LA routine of life.   Watch out movie theatres, here I come [movies are so stinkin' expensive in NY and they don't have matinee prices or student discounts, just $9.50 a pop every time!].
