It would be lovely to write about my morning and evening routines (although we were only supposed to write about one, I want to do both), but I don't have any. I haven't really lived anywhere in months; I've just been visiting. Even though I loved New York, and it felt like home, but I wasn't living in my own space. It occured to me today that what I miss the most about my constant moving is my plants. They are my favorite part of having somewhere to call home. I envisioned this whole side-by-side column thing with my morning and evening activities, but alas, I can't do. I don't wake up, shower, eat, or go to sleep at the same time from day to day. I play each day by ear, and I probably will for several more months, until I figure out where I'm going to live and what I am going to do for money. Each moment is an adventure... Connected Recollections: Comfort FoodsI don't think I eat for comfort. I eat because I love food. When I think of the idea of comfort foods I think of warm and steamy things like soup and hot chocolate. Then I envision being curled up on a couch wrapped in a warm blanket on a cold night consuming my delicious nourishment. This line of imagining make me crave a fire. Actually, when I get upset, eating is usually the last thing on my mind. Eating is a comfort only if I feel well... Writing in the Sand: Are you going to your next high school reunion? Well, I'm only half way there, and who knows how I'll feel about this in another five years, but yes, if it isn't very inconvenient, I think I'd like to go. There are very few people that I actually want to know in five years, but I think it would be fun to see everyone; I always love to watch people schmooze. I am a people watcher, and I can't think of a better place to view than at a reunion. Of course, I would want to feel that I was in a good place. Some times I am a worry-wart, but in general I tend to get less stressed about situations that most people do (my boyfriend in particular), so I'm sure I'll feel confident to let everyone know what I'm up to... |
