The new bathmat I got, for what is now called "my bathroom", is bright red, and delights me much more than it probably should. I thought it was more of a crimson when I saw it in the department store, but now that it is snugly on the bathroom floor, I must admit that it is really a bright red. It is reversible, but I only like the softer (less coarse) of the two sides. It takes up almost the entire bathroom floor, and makes me exceptionally happy. I have rather extensive plans to go cemetery hopping. I was able to find public transportation directions on the web to:My grandfather says that I should take the car, which lives in the garage most of the time, but I think the subway and bus rides will be easier, and certainly less stressful. I find driving to be rather nerve racking, especially when I start to visualize car accidents that I may get in. I can't really call my visualizations day dreams, but they occur at all times, and tend to have a morbid streak that I wish I could shake. I especially tend to think about the death of people close to me -- how I would react to notification, what I would say at their funeral, how I would feel. I wish I could turn off this line of thought, but it is always with me, and I think that it must fuel my need to tell stories constantly.

At long last, I added the final pictures to US trip '99. I had so much fun on that trip, and have been in a dilemma about my forthcoming trip to France, on which I think I may not take my computer. I am so excited about the future obtainment of a digital video camera, and will have to find some new server space if I am to store the anticipated films and photos. I will also have to render a web version of my film which will be screened in Berkeley on 8 December.
