		True Stories (1986) My very first DVD was a birthday present from Jeff (of Life in Fragments). Jeff managed to peg my tastes exactly. The film reminded me of Bagdad Cafe (1990) for its continually mounting bizarreness. The scene in the mall will zap you back to the 80's if you look at the storefronts. If you like strange, you'll like this movie. Perhaps True Stories inspired Waiting for Guffman (1996).
