Taking French was one of the worst experiences of my college career. The first semester I took it, I changed my grading option to pass/fail, but that never went through to my transcript [did someone say Berkeley beurocracy?]. I didn't mind because I got a B, but I was sure to take it pass/fail when I took French 2 and 3. French got progressively worse; at the end, I almost didn't pass the class. I complained about French from the third day of my diary until I finally finished the last class. One semester after I completed my language requirement for the Film Major, they changed the requirement, so I no longer had to have taken French 3. I don't need to go into my emotion about that one...
I did, however, want to visit France (as well as everywhere else!), which I finally got to do in October 1999. I now hope to make it to Israel, Australia, and various other destinations abroad.
I do enjoy French rap.
