My mother believes that one should never spare any expense on food and books.   I have apparently taken this advice to heart, for I spend an obscene amount of money on food (and books!).   I love it; it makes me happy.   I do believe you are what you eat.   I love to go out to restaurants.   Although I am vegan I have never been to a restaurant I couldn't eat at.   Food is one of my greatest joys.

return to Rachel's Daily Diary

Matthew suggested I make a list of my favorite restaurants so he could easily consult them when we are deciding where to go out.

my favorite cuisines:
      Thai
      Japanese
      Chinese
      Indian
      Tibetan/Nepalese
      Cantonese
      Italian
      Mexican

American cuisine has some fine points, but I can't find a lot that appeals to me at Spanish, French, Greek, German, Austrian, Korean, and Jamaican restaurants.

I don't think I've ever eaten at a Russian, Vietnamese, Iranian, Iraqui, or English restaurant, so they are something to experience in the future.
