June 2001: On Tuesday, 26 June 2001 I joined Pieces -- a then-new monthly digital art collab requiring the alteration of a base image. 		dog Sunday, 04 November 2001 I wasn't sure how I was going to incorporate this image into a creation until this just happened. I took the photo only because I like the play of light in it.
		orange Sunday, 04 November 2001 I originally made just the brim, but it looked like some weird halo, so I gave the hat a top part too. The real challenges were matching the shadows, blurriness, and darkness of the original photo, which was not altered in any way, except to add a bit of height to it, to make room for the addition of the hat.
		paperclip Wednesday, 31 October 2001 I made stripes for a shirt out of the paperclip. I added them, with a blue tinge, to a very reddened picture of me as a child. I used the unaltered photo in one of the earlier web pages I made...
		ticket Wednesday, 31 October 2001 I turned the edge of the ticket into a nice lawn and was then going to draw a child-style house. But the image of a tree I made for an animated movie called to me instead.
