This last semester at Berkeley was supposed to be the semester that I slacked off...   As you can see, no such thing happened.   I only needed 6 units to graduate, but I somehow wound up taking 18 (15 is normal for a semester).

Shawn was my professor for both my digital video and my time (temporal structures) classes.   He got his masters from MIT, which I would like to do.   He has an amazing chair in his office, which looks an awful like a throne when he sits in it.   He also has a couch, but the department administration suggested that he remove it.   I suggested that he put it back, with a little card saying: Couch, Shawn Brixey, 1999.   Then he could have an opening for his "show", inviting the administators and faculty, and explaining that it was a piece on the implications of office furniture.

I have a journal for my time class on the web and a journal for my digital video class in a sketch book (which I love, and am very proud of!).   My digivideo journal has all of my film ideas in it.   I am supposed to have a journal for filmmaking with all of my film ideas in it, so I will probably photocopy a lot of the pages...   The reason I love my digivideo journal is that I did it as a collage and I have all sorts of aquired images from magazines and whatnot.

Ruby was the professor with whom I wrote my honors thesis.   She was my prof when I took documentary my Junior year.   She liked the film I made about my roommate.   Our first real meeting about my thesis was held at her house in the mission district, which was gorgeous!   She said I was the first student she ever met with at her home...
